From 2nd April, European nationals (see the full list here: https://lnkd.in/dHd6jDAs) will need the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to travel to the UK. You will not need it, if you have a visa, permission to live, work or study in the UK or you are a British citizen (full list, please check here: https://lnkd.in/dvVz3yVd)

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀? Currently the authorisation costs £10, but the fee will increase on 9th April to £16.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆? ETA allows multiple visits for up to six months at a time over two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆? The easiest way to apply is through the UK ETA app (available on Google Play and the Apple App Store). Alternatively, applications can be submitted via this link: https://lnkd.in/dPTXdeNX Decisions are usually made within minutes, but Home Office suggests to allow three working days, though some cases may take longer.

In order to apply you will need to:

Pay the fee

Provide contact and passport details

Submit a valid digital photo

Answer a set of questions
